ROGUE
MARCO
PERSONALITY Marco looks like he's been through hell and back, and he has, he sports a rough-hewn personality. This is only natural after so little interaction with other cats, but he's dedicated, and kindly once you get past the scars. Perhaps the most important thing is that while Marco is merciful, he protects what he cares for with a vicious strength. He does bear a reasonable prejudice against humans, but he's made a point to be better than them, and accepting. He tries not to be overly biased, and is open to understanding that not all humans are necessarily bad. Marco's a very direct kind of cat, he doesn't like to deceive others, but does make calculated choices. When it comes to protecting those he cares for he tends to look at the whole and not a part, he also believes that loyalty should be earned. He doesn't expect others to love or adore him, he wants to earn their respect. Overall, Marco is extremely self-aware, he's strategic, and he's perhaps even uncanny in his perceptiveness. When it comes to his past, he prefers not to delve deep, but he also doesn't hide from his wounds. If someone asks, he'll speak simply, that his life wasn't good, that he paid the price. He's open minded too, he strongly believes that everyone deserves a fair shot, that you shouldn't use others, but also that freedom comes with a price. If you're lazy or lack ambition, he will speak outright that he's disappointed, because he knows how hard he tried for freedom, the pain he went through. Taking things for granted just isn't his style. HISTORY If you asked him who his mother was, Marco wouldn't be able to tell you. He wasn't born, but made. He never had a name either, he was just Project MARCO. A cat designed to be a covert weapon by humans. Every experiment requires a lot of mistakes, but unfortunately Marco was the one who was a success. He doesn't know the precise number of cats that were made before him, but he understands it was a lot. Marco was designed with a precise purpose in mind, to be a hyper intelligent weapon that looked like an ordinary cat, of course, with some notable differences. Marco had been made to be a much larger than usual cat, a viable powerhouse, with incredible healing abilities and an uncanny mental capacity. The humans trained him from a young age on the weaknesses of humans, he was meant after all, to smuggle information across borders. His ability to incapacitate humans was key in his design, should he be caught, he had to be able to defend himself. While the humans who designed him were able to bypass much of his limitations due to genetic enhancements and drugs, he was still limited of course. They had taught him to understand English, he could read simple books too, but his body was still that of a cat. He showed promise in being able to write simple words, but he could not speak like a human. When he didn't cooperate, he was punished via controlled shocks. Marco had been made too intelligent though, intelligent enough to understand that they only thought of him as an animal, and that he didn't deserve to be used like a machine or their messenger. The things they were doing to further their own gains were cruel, and the scars showed on Marco's body, after all, the messages he smuggled were sewn under his skin. The first time he attempted to escape was a failure, hardly getting out of the building before being electrocuted by an implant in his skin, designed to be capable of temporarily subduing him should he exit the building, and also able to track him should he ever get much farther. His successful chance of escape came when a mass blackout knocked out the power, and Marco was able to get out quick enough to shut down the backup generators. In order to truly escape however, Marco had to resort to tearing out a piece of his own chest to dig out the implant. He ran as soon as it was out. His healing abilities and knowledge of cleanliness are probably what allowed the wound to heal, but it didn't look pretty, his other scars were neat, but this one was mutilated tissue, a mark of his desperate freedom. He wears it with pride now. ~Marco is very large for a cat, extremely intelligent, with self-healing abilities (this comes with a very fast metabolism so he has to eat a lot), he can also read, and if a suitable medium is available, write, as well as understand humans. Later, he will also develop into his latent abilities: the ability to speak to humans, although this will be limited to simple words unless he gets to practice, he will also begin developing the ability to deceive the senses through illusions.!~ For Skills you may have only one 10, two 9's, four 6-8, three 5's and two 1-4's 《Skills》 Hunting: 7/10 Fighting: 9/10 Strength: 8/10 Agility: 5/10 Tracking: 4/10 Swimming: 4/10 Climbing: 5/10 Healing: 9/10 Strategy: 8/10 Intelligence: 10/10 Stamina: 8/10 Mother/fatherliness: 5/10 |
