History:Birdspots was born to two loving parents next to her sister. She was raised to want to serve her Clan as a kit. When she became an apprentice Birdspots worked herself harder than any other cat, always out training and patrolling the borders. She was the first to rise and the last to go to her den every day. When her warrior ceremony came around she was ready and slipped into being a warrior easily. Birdspots slipped into the background and stayed there until her first large battle. She fought as much as she could, as strongly and quickly as possible and let out loud screeches until her throat was raw. In that battle it seemed as though she was the strongest cat ever.
Birdspots returned to camp from that battle being championed. She had fought back many RiverClan cats and was one of the major reasons the Clan had won the battle. The she-cat could barely get to the medicine cat's den without kits and apprentices tripping her up with questions. The two kits in the nursary at the time kept asking to be her apprentice. Several moons later she was given little Moorpaw to train. She trained Moorpaw the same way she had trained, dawn to dusk and even some into the night. At first Moorpaw was hesitant to take the full schedule, but eventually the two got along really well. They treated each other like family and trained as hard as they could together. The best day of Birdspot's life was when Moorpaw got her warrior name: Moorbreeze. The two continued to train together once a week to keep their strength up. A few moons after Moorbreeze finished her training the Clan's deputy stepped down to retire to the elder's den. Birdspots was asked to replace the deputy and accepted graciously. Yellownose, her best friend and the cat that she deep down loved, soon asked to be her mate. Birdspots' life seemed to be going perfectly. She began to carry his kits. Then the day that changed everything came.
Birdspots had been forbidden from battle by the medicine cat to protect the kits, so when the big battle between WindClan and RiverClan came, she was confined to camp. She had to be held back by the elders and other queen in order to keep her from streaking after them. It had been agony, sitting in camp and waiting for her Clanmates to get back. When they got back their faces were dark with pain and they filed in as a big group. They'd lost. Birdspots asked where her parents and sister were-- they'd been in the battle, next to Yellownose. She saw her mate standing near the back of the group, but not her family. Her Clanmates parted and the shriek of agony could be heard all around the lake. Birdspots' family's bodies had been dragged back into camp and they were limp on the ground. The she-cat streaked towards them, trying to wake them up. They never did. Yellownose stayed with her all the way through the night while she sat and cried over their bodies. In the weeks that followed Birdspots had her kits and named them after her fallen family. They beccame apprentices and Birdspots went back to warrior duty. She was given another apprentice and was allowed back out into battle.
Her new apprentice was named Swiftpaw. Birdspots trained him the same way she had trained Moorbreeze. Swiftpaw was Moorbreeze's little brother and had heard from his sister just how much Birdspots trained and was ready for her. Birdspots was proud of him for taking the initiative and believed him ready for battle early in his training. She brought him into the final battle against RiverClan, keeping him near her and fighting with as much strength as she could. It felt good to fight back against those who had murdered her family. Swiftpaw was almost as great of a fighter as she was, and the two worked together to lead WindClan to victory. But this victory came at a cost. Swiftpaw, when she brought him back, had a torn ligament in his leg. He would never fight again. Moorbreeze tried to cheer her friend up, but eventually Birdspots made up her mind. She went to those in the Clan that she loved as family-- her kits, Yellownose, Swiftpaw, and Moorbreeze --and suggested her idea to them. She wanted to leave the Clan. She wanted her family to be safe and to never have to go through RiverClan's punishment again. Her kits, for they had been raised their entire life that the Clans were right and had never seen the death that battle brought, refused. But Moorbreeze and Yellownose supported her. Swiftpaw said that he would love to go, but the medicine cat would not allow him.
Birdspots went to the leader the next day and told him that she was resigning, that she was leaving the Clans for good. He understood and let her go, telling her that she would always be welcome in WindClan if she wanted to return. Birdspots went back to those who were leaving with her and they walked out of camp together, saying goodbye to their family and friends one last time. There were many tears that day. The last words Birdspots said to her Clan were that she wished them luck and would see them in StarClan. The trio of cats that were leaving went out and began their lives as loners. They travelled far and wide, staying in small hollows or burrows as they went. Eventually Birdspots found a pond that reminded them all of home, and the trio agreed to live there for a while. Moons passed. Wonderful moons. Birdspots and Yellownose had another litter, and they made a new friend. Moorbreeze had kits with this new friend. The small family was living peacefully. But all good things must end. Back home the Clans were destroyed, and the Clan cats were scattered.
Birdspots and her family didn't know any of this until she saw cats that she once called friends. RiverClan cats. Her hackles were raised and she hissed at them, asking why they were there. Why they had killed her family. The RiverClan cats simply laughed at her and begged to be allowed the pond. Birdspots looked back over her shoulder to her family and they shook their heads. "Over my dead and rotting body", she responded. THe RiverClan cats lunged at her. Birdspots knew she was outnumbered, there were four RiverClan cats and Birdspots had told Moorwind and the tom to run with the kits if they ever got into a fight. It was Birdspots and Yellownose against the RiverClan cats. She had been up against these kinds of odds before, though, in the previous battles against RiverClan cats. Surely it would be okay. But Birdspots was out of practice. Her form had become sloppy and while she was able to land some strong fatal blows, she was less able to parry and dodge. The pond ran red with the blood of cats on that day. Birdspots and Yellownose were able to chase the RiverClan cats away and went to the rendezvous point for their little family and told their friends and kits that they could go back. But it was too late for the two. They died of their wounds a few hours after returning to their home. When Birdspots reached StarClan she embraced her family with love and she watched over her living family until they too joined her in the land where she lived. She continues to watch over her descendants to this day, even after the rest of her family decided to pass on from StarClan. Birdspots welcomes every cat to StarClan and trats every cat with love and fairness. Yes, even the RiverClan descendants.
